Steering Committee

Calendar Year 2024: Schedule of Regular Meetings & Designation of Newspapers

The Steering Committee was originally formed to direct the renovation of the “Old Alloway School”. The two story building was renoveated in two phases over several years. The building is now our Senior Citizen / Municipal Complex and houses all of our municipal offices, meeting rooms, a museum room, a large community room, and the 140 seat Williams Jackson Talley Auditorium, named in 2010 in honor of the Steering Committee’s founding co-chairs and secretary. These facilites and meeting rooms are available for public and private use (please click link below for information) . The Steering Committee continues to meet monthly and addresses issues related to the building and it’s grounds. See dates below. A recently constructed “Veterans Walkway” was created through the efforts of this committee. Engraved bricks, honoring veterans, can be purchased for $50 (click link below). The committee also honors our veterans with annual Veterans Day and Memorial Day programs.
