ALLOWAY TOWNSHIP PUBLIC NOTICE REGARDING ESTABLISHMENT OF 2024 SEWER CONNECTION FEE
TAKE NOTICE that the Public Hearing regarding a Resolution to establish the 2024 Sewer Connection Fee, which was incorrectly advertised in the amount of $6,255.90, scheduled for Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 7:00 p.m., has been rescheduled to the following date: Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 7:00 p.m., at the Alloway Township Municipal Building located at 49 South Greenwich Street, Alloway, New Jersey 08001 in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:26A-11. At that time, the Township Committee will consider establishing the 2024 Sewer Connection Fee at the maximum fee permitted in the amount of $6,255.41 provided by the Chief Finance Officer.
Any interested party may appear at said hearing and participate therein in accordance with the rules of the Township Committee.

Physical Location: Office is located on the 2nd floor of the Municipal Building (Room #215). Use north side door of the building (gazebo) and go up the stairs. The office will be on your left across from the auditorium. The handicap lift is accessible using the front door of the Municipal Building.

Tax Facts
The Tax Collector is responsible for the billing, collection, reporting and enforcement of municipal taxes for the Township of Alloway. Alloway Township is a Calendar Year Municipality; our budget year runs from January 1st through December 31st. In New Jersey. The local municipality is the “designated” department for billing and collecting taxes due for the general County tax, County Library tax, County Open Space tax, and the Local District School tax, as well as the Local Purpose tax. Only the Local Municipal Purpose tax is kept by Alloway Township for operational expenses.

The State of New Jersey law requires the local municipality to pay 100% of the taxes due to the County and Schools quarterly. The municipality absorbs any shortfall in the amount of taxes not collected because of delinquent properties.
